DAY42. BE-FRIENDING THE FEAR


Mindfulness is understanding that fear is NATURAL.

Yes, that's right - that thing you want to get rid so much is a part of our biological existence. It is how we, humans, are wired.

Fear is our SOS signal for safety, the communication of the brain allowing us to stay safe and comfortable.

Every new thing is, definitely, not safe or comfortable for the brain, so, no surprise we get shitloads of fear then we want to experience something new!

I am afraid, I say this phrase to myself:

“Fear is a poor excuse for not doing the work. We are all afraid. It is nothing new. If you are alive, you are fearful.”

Cause it is not about fighting the fear, it is about be-friending it.
