DAY 33. SURRENDER

The more I think about mindfulness, the more I see the beauty of surrendering.⠀

What do I mean?

Simply ACCEPTING the present state, even if it feel unpleasant, uncomfortable and barely possible.

It does not mean not showing up your emotions. That’s suppressing.⠀

It does not mean going overboard with it. That’s letting the fear control you.

It means being TRULY aware🧚.⠀

I started the day with a big headache and, surely, the first thought wasn’t particularly appealing. Not on my daily wish list, obviously.

But headaches do not start out of nowhere, I believe it is the language of our body telling us something.

Mostly that something is the whisper that we need rest.

So I did rest, especially mentally, by taking a walk to the forest with this lovely in the first picture.

I didn’t try to deny that the headache was there.⠀

Nor I was trying to push it away.⠀

I was just there, listening to it.⠀

And it clearly listened back, cause it slowly “magically” went away, which I noticed only being at home.

The surrender is the cure.
