DAY 22. BEING ALONE VS BEING LONELY


Mindfulness is understanding the difference between being alone and feeling lonely.

Surely, there is no denial that we, humans, are social beings.⠀ We need communication, love and support.

Our brain is literally wired to be appreciated! ⠀

But we also need to feel comfortable with ourselves.⠀ Sitting alone and being fine with it🧘. Feeling the beauty of it.

The more uncomfortable we feel with it, the more we need it.⠀

I am not saying it is easy.

It took me a long time to reach that comfort with lots if practice with discomfort.🧚‍♀️⠀

But now I am fine eating alone in cafe.⠀ I am fine taking a pause.⠀ I am fine with my own thoughts.⠀ And with alone walks.

Because in truth, the moment of silence is the biggest indicator or our well-being. Fall in love with silence, occasionally.⠀
