Mindfulness is understanding the difference between being alone and feeling lonely.

⠀ Surely, there is no denial that we, humans, are social beings.⠀ ⠀ We need communication, love and support.
Our brain is literally wired to be appreciated! ⠀ ⠀
But we also need to feel comfortable with ourselves.⠀ ⠀ Sitting alone and being fine with it🧘. Feeling the beauty of it.

⠀ The more uncomfortable we feel with it, the more we need it.⠀
⠀ I am not saying it is easy.
⠀ It took me a long time to reach that comfort with lots if practice with discomfort.🧚♀️⠀ ⠀
But now I am fine eating alone in cafe.⠀ ⠀ I am fine taking a pause.⠀ ⠀ I am fine with my own thoughts.⠀ ⠀ And with alone walks.
⠀

⠀ Because in truth, the moment of silence is the biggest indicator or our well-being. ⠀ Fall in love with silence, occasionally.⠀
